STEAM

At Hope-Hill Elementary School, we strive to provide an enriching STEAM program that offers diverse experiences that nurture creativity, problem-solving, and curiosity. To begin with, all students participate in a dedicated STEM class, rotating weekly to apply engineering, coding, and other STEM disciplines to the content they are learning in their classrooms.  Monthly, all classes participate in our “Hour of Power.”  This is where classes apply the engineering design process to solve a problem.  Students also have a designated makerspace where they can work on creating a wide range of projects using a variety of tools and advanced technology.

Since 2022, our offerings have expanded to include a STEAM Ambassador Program and a competitive Esports Club. We recently added Science Olympiad and are excited to continue growing our selection of STEAM enrichment clubs.

Our commitment extends beyond the classroom. Every grade level participates in meaningful STEAM field experiences that align with the curriculum and expose students to STEAM concepts and careers in real-world settings. These experiences have become a valued part of our school culture and help students connect their learning to the broader world.

We are looking forward to continuing growing our STEAM program both inside and outside the classroom.
